2023 NSW Budget Comment by Griffin Longley, Spokesman for Thrive by Five
19 September 2023- Minderoo Foundation’s Thrive by Five campaign has welcomed the NSW Government’s investment in early childhood education and care (ECEC) as a positive step forward for children and parents in the state.
NSW has played a significant national role over recent years in building momentum for early learning reform with commitments for making quality ECEC more affordable and accessible for families.
A universal early learning system for NSW will support child development, bring cost of living relief for household budgets and provides more options for parents returning to the workforce, particularly women.
